4 1/2 Years Diploma Course 2025 – 2029





 

From May 2025, Pure Yoga will be offering a unique 1200-hour comprehensive yoga teacher training course. This yoga training course conveys the true and original yoga tradition, which includes both practical and philosophical aspects. The participants discover yoga as a science and art and receive comprehensive knowledge and skills for their work as yoga teachers. The course is spread over 4 1/2 years and ends in October 2029. It is led by the world-renowned Yoga Teacher Bruno Dietziker. Renowned guest lecturers are brought in for specific topics. The 1200 hours are divided half into yoga theory and yoga practice. The lessons take place on 8 weekends per year in the 'Yogazentrum am Weiher' outside Zurich. In addition, we meet every training year for two full weeks of training, one in the spring and one in the fall, at ideal power locations. This in the magically beautiful 'Felsentor', with a fantastic view of the Alps and Lake Lucerne, as well as in the 'Centre of Unity' on the 'Schweibenalp' above the impressive Giessbach Falls and Lake Brienz. At the end of the course, participants write a thesis.

During the training we deal intensively with the following traditional texts and viewpoints: • Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Hatha (Yoga) Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita and Tantra. We also deal with the following 'Darshanas': Niaya, Vaisesika, Vedanta, Mimamsa, Yoga, Samkhya, Buddhism, Jainism and Charvak • Anatomy and Physiology • Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga • Yoga Therapy • Nutrition and Natural Health • Ayurveda • Science and Spirituality (Quantum Physics) • Sun Salutations • Chakras • The Self and the Community (Sangham) • Class Structure and Teaching Methods (Didactics)

In your Yoga Practice you will encounter the following content: • Traditional Hatha Yoga • B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga • Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga • Viniyoga (Ayuryoga) • Kriya Yoga • Practices for cleansing the body and natural healing methods • Asanas: optimal and correct alignment, their application and limitations. Correction options (adjustments) with hands-on! • Pranayama: Learning breath control techniques to influence and regulate the flow of Prana • Mudras and Bandhas • Meditation Techniques • Learn, recite and chant Mantras, Kirtans, Bhajans, Sutras, Stotras and Shatakams For quality reasons, a maximum of 25 training places are available.
