and What Remains When It Becomes Still

What is this “I” actually – known as Ahamkara (the “I-maker”) – which makes every experience a human being has feel as though it were “their own”, thereby creating a sense of individuality, or even isolation?

How is Ahamkara created, and what place does it occupy within the intricate structure of the mind, emotions, consciousness and intellect?

Is the “I” perhaps the ego (Asmita)? Or is it the “individual self”? And what is the true nature of this “I”? How does it ordinarily behave? And why does this repeatedly lead to frustration and suffering?
