Manipura Chakra

Manipura (literally: City of Jewels or Abundance of Jewels) Chakra is located in the Sushumna Nadi in the spine at the level of the navel or slightly higher. It is the third lowest of the 6 or 7 main consciousness centers in our (energy) body. It is associated, among other things, with self-assertion. On this level of consciousness, the ego seeks validation, recognition, confirmation, fame, honor, wealth, power. It strives here to be seen and loved - instead of embarking on the journey of self-love. The flame of the Manipura Chakra must be inverted upwards to transform this crucial and meaningful step away from the search for love and recognition to ascend to the next higher chakra - Anahata - the 'center of love' itself.
